Growing the Kingdom in 2014

2013 was a great year at First Baptist Carrollton. Just in the last two months of the year alone we had over 100 salvations! These life-changing decisions were made during events we hosted that were specifically designed to reach our community for Christ. In November, our special service, My Hope with Billy Graham, prompted 46 people to pray to receive Christ. In December, our Two from Galilee performances saw 23 people profess faith in Christ. And that same week, at our annual Christmas Store, we had 32 people asked Jesus into their hearts. These are incredible numbers! But even more than that, we rejoice in seeing the Lord work in the lives of people through the obedience of members of our church. It is humbling to see that those decisions were made in a span of only six weeks. What a great experience it is to see what God can do when we get on board with His plan. Imagine what can happen when we focus our attention on sharing the Gospel year-round!

On Sunday, February 2, our church will host Game Day. This service is another chance to bring people to the Lord. On Game Day, we will show another video, put together by the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, called Defining Moments. If you’d like to know more about Defining Moments you can watch the trailer here. We saw such great results in November that we wanted to offer the opportunity again for people to invite others to hear the Gospel message. We will also have a special time of baptism for those who made decisions for Christ at the November My Hope event.

Don’t miss this chance to add more names to the Kingdom this year. Let 2014 show us to be faithful to the Lord in telling people about the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
